Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. I have some exciting news to share with you today: I’ve started to finish the fifth Karhide album!
As you may know, Karhide is my solo project where I explore different genres and styles of music, from post-rock to ambient to electronic. I started Karhide in 2006 as a way to express myself creatively and challenge myself musically. Since then, I’ve released four albums: Acadia (2010), Erasable Assignments (2020), Abort (2021) and Restart (2022).
So far, I’ve written twelve songs for the new album. They are still in the demo stage, but I’m really happy with how they sound. At the moment they are more stripped-down and minimalistic than my previous albums, focusing on guitar and electronics. They are also more melodic and catchy but still have some experimental elements.
I don’t have a title or a release date for the new album yet, but I’ll keep you updated as I progress. I’m really excited to share this new music with you, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for your support and love over the years. You are the reason why I keep making music.
